Vision of the Church
1. Foundation — the Bible
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (Second Epistle to Timothy 3:16-17)
2. Development of personal evangelism
Not being afraid of telling those around us about Jesus: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Epistle to the Romans 1:16)
3. Development of public evangelism
Jointly sharing the Good News with people through various social events — concerts, seminars, charity etc.): “praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)
4. Development of home groups
Closer fellowship between church members through joint meetings at homes of our parish for in-depth study of the Bible and mutual practical support: “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” (Acts 2:46)
5. Development of God’s gifts
And fivefold ministry (the apostle, the prophet, the evangelist, the pastor, and the teacher): “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Epistle to the Ephesians 4:11-13)
6. Development of missionary work
Not only in Latvia, but also abroad. Fulfilling the key command of Jesus Christ: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Amen.” (Gospel According to Matthew 28:19-20)
